Foreign Minister Wang Yi Meets with OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria

On September 11, 2017, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Secretary-General Angel Gurria of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), exchanging views on China-OECD cooperation and other issues.

Wang Yi said that OECD is a supporter of the cause of China’s reform and opening-up. The Chinese side expects and believes that OECD will continuously support China’s development and be a cooperative partner in the development course of China.

Angel Gurria congratulated China on successfully hosting the BRICS Xiamen Summit, and expressed that OECD looks forward to establishing partnership with China. OECD will continuously and actively support China’s development, and stands ready to make positive contributions to the international cooperation under the “Belt and Road” initiative.
