President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

On Aug. 23, 2013, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Liu Jieyi was appointed the Permanent Representative of China and Ambassador to the United Nations, replacing Li Baodong.

Ma Zhaoxu was appointed Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia, replacing Chen Yuming.

Le Yucheng was appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, replacing Zhou Li.

Ning Fukui was appointed Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, replacing Guan Mu.
