The Government of China provided relief assistance to the Cook Islands battered by Cyclone
2005/02/25
Battered by Cyclone Olaf, the third cyclone after Cyclone Meena and Cyclone Nancy in the last 15 days, the Cook Islands is facing a big challenge. The people of the Cook Islands are making great efforts to overcome the disaster.

Shortly after the outbreak of the Cyclone, H.E. Cheng Mingming, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to New Zealand and the Cook Islands, expressed his sympathy to the Cook Islands government on behalf of the Chinese Government and decided to provide 30,000 NZ dollars to the country for the disaster relief.

The Government of China wishes the Cook Islands to recover quickly from the damage caused by the cyclone.
